Tue, 19 May 2009: Last Shout-Out from Tolleson

Hey Guys!

So we have this weird thing with P-Days now. Since transfers are on Wednesday, but they changed P-Day to Wednesday, every transfer week P-Day is actually Tuesday. Which is why I didn't get an email from my mom today--I didn't tell you last week that it's different this week. It's kind of confusing but, well, it's all good. Hopefully you'll be sending me a letter this week anyway--but don't send it to Tolleson address. Yep, I have finally been transferred.

I am going to miss Estrella so much. Well, considering I have been in this ward since I got to Phoenix, I guess it makes sense. But I know for a fact that the Lord works out all of these transfers, so I'm not too worried. (Plus, I already know where I'm going. There are only 6 Spanish sisters. It makes it really easy to figure out.)

So that's what's going on with me. Oh yeah, and Maria's getting baptized, along with all of her children. The conversation today went basically as her asking us how much longer it has to take before she can be baptized. I told her she could be baptized this Sunday if she wants. So, yeah, I'm leaving just as everything gets rolling. But you know something cool? I'm sad I won't get to see it, but really I am just incredibly excited for them. You should have seen these kids on Sunday--all the boys were wearing dress shirts and ties, and they all looked SO HANDSOME!!! This family is amazing. I don't know what I did to deserve working with them, but I am grateful every day for having the chance to get to know them. And she's excited to know that I'll be really close. (She thought that "transferred" meant to got to some other state somewhere. She was really excited when I told her I'll probably just be over in Goodyear, about 15 minutes away.)

Anyway, I just need to tell you all that God really is a God of miracles. And don't send me letters in Tolleson, because then I'll have to wait to get them. Just send them to the mission office and they'll forward them to me. Michelle, I'll update you on the new address as soon as I know what it is. . . Lol.

I love you. If you're mad at me for not writing you letters, I apologize. I probably deserve it. Maybe the next area I'm in, we'll have more time for letters. I don't know why, but I'll be better at looking for time. But, well, if you think about it this way--you guys all get an update from me once a week. . .

Thank you, once again for tuning in. This is our last broadcast from Tolleson, AZ. We'd like to thank all of our faithful listeners, and we'll leave you with this thought--

"Birthdays are like Arizona summers. The more you live through, the more you want to die."

Thank you and goodnight.

Love,
