Dear People I love,
This was a pretty good week for letters, that made my week. You know who you are. I will try to be very prompt with the replies, because I don't want to go through that type of letter famine again. Especially with the crazy kind of news that comes from that much time without knowing what's going on. . . ^.~ I should have time to write today, because my companion will be packing. Yes, she got transferred and I am staying. Sad, but I'm really excited to stay in this area. It rocks. That was kinda selfish of me. . . heheh.
This last week was all right. Some good parts, some not so good. That's life. One thing to note is that the Lord is really mindful of us, and He really knows when we are honestly doing our best, and He blesses us for it. My companion has been suffering from these headaches this entire transfer that just knock her out. I have spent half the day at home for the last two weeks. Believe me, that makes waking up on time veeeery hard. (Don't worry, mom and dad, I've still been doing it. I know you wonder about that. . . ^.~)
And yet, with half of our working time, we have still managed to find new investigators, receive great referrals, and get people to commit to baptism. We were flushed into a practically dead area, and it definitely has a heartbeat now.
Adan picked a day to be baptized--March 7. Pretty much that's my birthday present. :D Probably the best one ever. He is awesome. Have I told you about him yet? Widower with a 4-yr-old, his white friend is a member and--completely through his example--led him to searching the church. Now Adan is getting baptized, and his aunt and uncle who live with him are starting to take the lessons as well. It rocks.
The guys having triplets--well, his wife is having them, but you know what I mean--is doing very well as well. We started teaching the Plan of Salvation, and we didn't have a lot of time so we just got through the beginning, but he was practically begging us to stay to finish explaining. He is completely struck by the idea--he loves this stuff. He actually got a little mad at his wife for not telling him about this before. (His wife is a member who actually was going to another church for about 6 years.) He rocks. It's fun to pray with him, because he is very involved when you pray. "Thank you Jesus."
One last piece of news--Heavenly Father loves you. Just in case you forgot or were unaware.
I need to go, but I love you and I LOVE your letters. Those of you who have served missions probably understand--sometimes, letters are the only thing that keep you going, or that keep you from killing your companion. So please, for the sake of my future companion, don't forget to write. ^.~
Love,
Hna. Crowley
